Anti-Tanking Rule suggestion

December 24, 2010 oldno7 7

I have a suggestion on how to avoid the situation of having star players on the bench going forward. Its actually simple, if the player was proteced by someone before the waiver draft then this player cannot be on someone’s bench unless there is an injury. I know there are some cases where the protected player may have a bad season, for this I would suggest that the new player must not be more than 10 points behind the protected player in order to preform the line change. Or else we could procced the same way as the trades and approve/veto the removal of a protected player. any thoughts?

Old No 7 Trade offer…

December 24, 2010 oldno7 0

So I’m going to try something a little different. I will tell you all what I’m offering and if anyone is interested let me know. Here is my offer; Mikael Backlund Paul Martin ON7 2nd I want a forward in return. Obviously I’m not expecting a top line guy back. The offer can be tweaked, but please don’t try to switch backlund for someone like Duchene lol. If I can get a larger return I will also include Benn. Any takers??

Drop – Brian Boucher – $1,350,000

December 9, 2010 oldno7 0

The Old No 7 organization is a proud one, however we are not to proud to admit when we have made a mistake. Today we part ways with Brian Boucher. We are a little embarrassed to admit this but when we signed him we thought we were getting Bobby Boucher, the somewhat retarded but lovable character from the Waterboy movie. We thought his killer instinct would transfer well to the NHL game, however we actually got a waterboy instead. How Mr. Boucher managed to lose the starting job to some Bobo from Whogivesafuckastan is beyond us, but I guess anything is possible in the wacky world of Flyers goalies. One of his Old No 7 teammates had this to say upon hearing of his departure: “can’t say I’m surprised, he was even a shitty waterboy…. He couldn’t understand why no one wanted to drink from the same cup as that mono infested, crappy furniture selling loser who used to “play” here” Brian Boucher – $1,350,000 Salary returned – $675,000 Dec 9 @ lunch time
