Congrats Wheeling Nailers!!
The 2023-24 season has come to an end, let me start off by saying a congrats to Jeremy on a very well deserved win this season. You lead the way in the pool for over 100 days and really pulled away in March to secure the championship! Well Done! Congrats to Assman on finishing second. The race for 3rd went down to the wire and on the last day of the season Mr. Motorboat was able to claim the spot. Our division winners are Wheeling Nailers, Mr. Motorboat & Red Menace. Reminder that the deadline to drop players is today at noon. Free agents can continue to be brought up until midnight. Lottery & Waiver drafts will be done once all the FA auctions are over. End of 2023-24 Season
Hi everyone, We are getting closer to the end of the season, so I just wanted to remind everyone of the rules. The NHL season ends on April 18th, therefore the deadline to drop players will be April 19th at noon. Free agents can continue to be brought up until midnight. All in season rules are still in effect until the last FA auction is over. These include but are not limited to;1) 30 player max roster2) $85 million max salary cap3) Trade freeze Once we move into off-season mode, the waiver and lottery draft will be held and we can begin thinking about next year.

Active Lineup Salary Cap Floor Update
Hi everyone, This past weekend we had, for the first time that I can remember, a situation where due to not making lineup changes a team’s active lineup fell below the salary cap floor. Our rulebook states; The penalty for violating this rule is that the lineup change made is void but the GM will still be charged for the changes. In the event within the voided lineup change there are players that were traded/dropped, the penalty for failure to remove the player from the lineup will also be given. With this in mind, I will add to this rule that a GM has to get over the $30M floor by the next lineup change or else they will be fined $20, which is consistent with or other roster/cap penalties. I don’t like adding rules with out a vote, but in this situation I think its necessary in order to be consistent with our other rules. Just a reminder that the active lineup cap is probably the most difficult to manually track for Giulio, it is not instantly updated, so it may take a few days to discover that someone is under the floor, but at the same time remember that everyone is responsible for their own team.
