Waivers, auction, entry and lottery drafts

The auction/farm draft will be on October 10th at 8:30 pm. I will set up a zoom meeting. We will also discuss any rule changes, but please, if you have a suggestion, post it to the site before so that everyone can see it before we meet. There isn’t a trade freeze and you have to be salary cap compliant and have the available draft picks to burn for extra roster spots before the end of the auction draft. See you guys then!

Hi everyone, As you know the waiver draft is tomorrow night. We will have to go back to the Whatsapp chat for the draft. A few people have told me they will be available during the night, but will not be able to be in front of the computer. I will create the group today and add everyone. For those of you who are new to this format, I will be messaging everyone when its their turn to pick and when a decision is needed on who to protect. I am the only one who can post in that chat in order to cut the trash talk so that the picks aren’t lost in the thread. Basically the posts will look like this “ON7 selects xxx from MAG, MAG protects xxx”. I want to start the process by 8:15 at the latest, so please be available and have your phone with you until we are done. It can go quickly if everyone is ready. If you have questions let me know.

Hi everyone, I hope your summer is going well. I would like to set the waiver draft for August 31. I think the Zoom meeting worked really well last time so if everyone is ok with it we’ll do it again virtually. You protect/resign list have to be submitted (by email to both Giulio and I) by noon on Aug 29. With that in mind, there will be a trade freeze in effect from Aug 28 at midnight until the end of the waiver draft. Reminder, you have to protect 6 forwards, 3 D-men and 1 goalie, and your total protect/resign list cannot exceed 27 players. Once the waiver draft is complete the 30 man roster limit is in effect until the end of the season. Also a reminder that the salary cap is NOT in effect until the end of the auction draft/start of the farm draft. The NHL season begins on October 12th, so try to keep October 10th at night available for the auction/farm draft. Let me know if there are any questions.
