Everyone please take note

August 4, 2011 magnum 0

For administrative purposes, item number 2 in the rule changes from the waiver meeting has the bold, capitalized item added to it: 2- Drop Player: Now when you drop a player, his salary is 1/2 of what it once was. example: I drop a player who is 3M and get back 1.5M. In the old scenario, bidding on this player would start at 3M, but now it starts at 1.5M. Note – if a player under $1,000,000 in price is dropped, the new salary will not be set at anything lower than $500,000. Even if you drop a $500,000 player, his price will remain at that. The 1/2 rule really only applies, therefore, to players whose salary is above $1,000,000. IMPORTANT DETAIL: ALL PLAYER DROPS GET YOU 50% OF THE PRICE OF THE PLAYER. THE PLAYER IS THEN RE-LISTED AT THE NEAREST $10,000 VALUE, NOT NECESSARILY EXACTLY 50%.

Martin St-Louis available

August 4, 2011 magnum 0

Yes, he’s 5.5 million, but he also has figured in the top 5 of NHL scoring countless times. He’s also feeding a pretty good hockey player some passes here and there. No big deal. If anyone at all is interested in this semi-decent hockey player who might be elite (I just don’t know anymore!), I know he’s super expensive and everyone wants to bid $20,000,000 on a 39 yr old Jagr, but i’m listening. Seriously listening. Take a quick look at my team and you can gauge what I need.

Brenden Morrow available for draft pick

August 4, 2011 magnum 2

Will play with Jamie Benn and Loui Eriksson on the top line in Dallas. I can no longer afford him, and as some have indicated, he’s too pricey. Those in need of a solid depth forward with experience can have him for very cheap. Please make offers.

Waiver Meeting – Other Details, Rule Changes

August 3, 2011 magnum 0

Hey guys, i know Giulio posted the waiver draft results, but I wanted to recap the rule changes we made as well. 1- After repeated emails to the whole group stating to ensure that if you could not make it to the draft, to make sure some other GM has your list and money to bring the the meeting. Joe Ferraro gave me a list, but no money. Therefore as a group we voted that he has to pay Joe D’Abramo 84$ before September 1st or be expelled from the Pool. 2- Drop Player: Now when you drop a player, his salary is 1/2 of what it once was. example: I drop a player who is 3M and get back 1.5M. 3- Trade Waiver Picks: vote was split. Needs to be redone at Auction/Farm Draft 4- Offer sheets: GM’s voted that the idea is interesting and that a proposal can be voted on at our next meeting. I won’t recap the results, because it can be found on our site. thanks Danny
